Wigivers, you no longer have to live in or near Chicago to participate in wigiv events. This year, we will stick with the theme of the Chicago event and provide ways to volunteer in a similar manner close to home.
Since the April 2019 event is Rebuilding Together, joining in on a local Habitat for Humanity project is a simple way to connect with the spirit of Rebuilding Together and have an impact on your own community.
The Out of Towners can now participate every month!
For this month, just go to this link, https://www.habitat.org/volunteer, find your local Habitat chapter, and sign up to volunteer for a day, or however much time you have.
As they say on the Habitat website:
“Because of the help of people like you, whole neighborhoods improve and completely transform. Through this transformation, families achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life. “
You can volunteer on the day of Rebuilding Together – April 27, 2019 – or any day that you have available this month.
